Chaos reigns at Union Station!  The Rocky Mountain News has been receiving reports of increased violence and mayhem in Denver's train yards.  Reports of rival companies equipping war trains similar to those used by the Union and South in their wars.  Murder is commonplace in the switchyards.  Gang shootings, like the one pictured here are becoming the favored way of settling disputes.  Local workers attempt to cover up the happenings in the rail yard with wild and obviously fabricated yarns.  Stories of zombie attacks are obviously fictitious and shamefully used to cover shortcomings in the management of the rail yards.  Investigation by The Rocky Mountain News has uncovered misfiled reports and complaints about lost cargo, missing co workers, stolen goods, vandalism, larceny, murder, and even a brief note about a missing exhibit for the Denver Natural History Museum.  If something is not done soon to return order to the rail yards, the city of Denver may grind to a halt.
Gambling championship is coming to Denver.  Denver is proud to host a nationally renewed gambling championship.  While there will be many different types of gambling available, the one that really matters is the Poker Championship.  This contest, put together by the Mayor of Denver is rumored to be second to none.  The local card poker halls are already filling up as card sharks start preparing and earning money for the $10,000 entry fee.  With 100 slots open, it's a winner take all, walking away with an unbelievable 1 million dollars!  It's a contest on a scale that has been undreamed about!  The Rocky Mountain News will continue to cover the event as it unfolds.
Is the marshal in Denver qualified for his post?  The Rocky Mountain News has discovered evidence that might indicate otherwise.  Is it possible that the Mayor of Denver has allowed a post of such responsibility to be filled by an unskilled worker?  Are wasteful purchases being made with your city tax dollars?  The Rocky Mountain News is beginning an investigation into these allegations to see if there is any evidence to the contrary. The Denver Museum of Natural History sadly reports a delay in the new Egyptian wing.  Problems with labor and design of the new exhibit have delayed the opening date.  The museum does still boast one of the finest collations of skeletons and stuffed animals this side of the Mississippi.  Tours run daily. Manitou Springs, recovering from their massive earthquake earlier this year, announced a need for skilled craftsman to help rebuild the town.  Top dollar is being paid to anyone who can wield a hammer or saw a beam.  If you know how to build houses and hotels, come on down and earn a pretty penny!  If you want to learn how to build, come on down and start an apprentice program to learn the trade!
