Part of a Union Army supply wagon is displayed here outside of a local Denver merchant.  A rather large detachment of the Union army left Denver Sunday on "Extended Training and Field Testing."  The unit consisted mostly of cavalry and flying infantry units.  Inside sources also tell us that two experimental floating gun platforms were taken with the supply wagon.  The anonymous source asked to be referred to as "Captain" said these platforms are connected to gas filled bladders and floated above the battlefield.  Ghostrock powered gatling guns and flamethrowers are then used rain death and destruction upon the Union enemies.  "It's like the hand of God," said the Captain, "Except this is more like the finger of God.  We plan to give our enemies the "finger" and see how they handle it."  The captain made several other remarks, but as I was watching local Denver women passing by I was distracted.  Boy how I love summer in Denver.  The captain departed with some cryptic remark about how God loved the smell of napalm in the morning.  Only time will tell how the enemy of the Union army will fare when given the finger.
Iron Dragon rail lines have been spotted in Denver.  It was expected that the Denver Rio Grande would form a partnership with the Wasatch lines, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.  The reasoning behind this was that Wasatch was the only line connecting to the Denver area and none of the other rail barons have shown any interest in Colorado.  That is until Iron Dragon trains started showing up in Denver.  Is the Iron Dragon Baron Kang interested in the local Denver line?  The Rocky Mountain News will keep a close eye on this story as it develops. Local authorities in the town of Manitou Springs have been plagued by a series of brutal deaths.  What has confused the local sheriff is that the bodies are often found in pieces, horribly mutilated.  On more than one occasion, a body is discovered in several pieces.  Upon closer examination one or two separate people were killed and left in such a manor as to suggest one body.  The town is in an uproar, but so far, no one has been able to shed any light onto the issue.
