Denver
residents were horrified to learn of a tragic train wreak outside of Denver on
Sunday, July 4th, 1876. We have just learned that the train wreak was
caused by a group of armed bandits who had planed on boarding the train and
plundering the passengers. We have also just learned that there were 4
survivors from this wreak. They made their way across the open prairie to
Denver. There were claims that the passengers, crew and bandits whom died
in the train wreak later "Arose from the Dead" and pursued the lone survivors
across the prairie. The Rocky Mountain News considers this to be pure
nonsense and that the story was created out of border while crossing the prairie
to Denver. We feel that such vain attempts to start panic in the great
city of Denver are in poor taste. Other such reports about people
allegedly returning from the dead have not been confirmed and are most likely a
hoax attempted in poor humor.
A fire raged out of control in north Denver last night.
Denver fire fighters were able to try out some of their newest fire suppression
gear that they purchased earlier this year.
"They worked great!" said a local fireman, "The fire only burned 4 city blocks
before we put it out!"
Denver fire fighters had not finished their investigation into the cause of the fire. They had determined that it started in a barn behind a local bar. Investigators were unable to determine if the fire was started by accident or as a deliberate attack. One curious feature from the fire is that when it started the barn on fire, it created a powerful windstorm in the area separating a local bar and the barn. Investigators conclude that without that windstorm the bar may have burned to the ground. Local residents have been allowed into the rubble to reclaim whatever personal belongings survived the blaze.
Another victim in a series of gruesome murders has been found in north Denver last night. The victim was found slashed to pieces, matching several previous murders. Denver police are baffled but continue to work to determine the killer. The Rocky Mountain News will keep you up to date on these "Jack the Ripper" killings until the murderer is brought to justice. |
