St. Mark's Cathedral
St.
Marks Cathedral was built in 1862 on the corner of Lincoln and 9th in
Denver. The cathedral is well known in the southern area of Denver.
Many of the wealthier families from eastern Denver and Cherry Creek come to the
church.
One of the better known personalities around the church is Sister Laura Evans. She can often be found wearing a simple habit and fondling her wooden cross. Laura spends some of her time at the church sweeping pews, tending to the sick and injured and giving help to the local authorities in Denver.
Service at the church are on Sunday mornings and before sundown on the weekdays. The doors of the church are usually open to all regardless of the time of day and you can find a kind priest or nun for counsel
