Denver Rio Grande Railway Depot
The railroad depot is small compared to the massive switchyards at Denver. This station boasts only one track and a long wooden platform to unload passengers and cargo. A small awning and a ticket booth complete the station. A train to and from Colorado Springs leaves once a day.
Trains carrying supplies to the Pikes' Peak Cog Railway Project roll through the station two times a week. These freight trains deliver supplies and materials needed for the ambitious project. Workers for the cog railway encompass the bulk of passenger traffic that arrive daily at the station.
There is a small map of Manitou Springs posted on the side of the ticket booth. A gift from the Camber of Commerce to help those new to the area find their way around.
